Reporting directly to the Director Guardians UK, this role ensures the welfare of the students in its care, providing the services appropriate to each student’s package and through excellent communication with parents, agents, schools and the students. The role liaises with host families, places students with them and arranges appropriate travel logistics for students as needed.
There will also be a requirement for the Regional Guardian to be trained and to operate as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).

This role is permanent, Taunton School term time only – to include INSET days, exeats, arrival and departure days plus 1 extra week to be added to end/start of terms as needed.

There will be on-call duties, which are to be shared equally between Regional Guardians throughout the times listed above and including term time weekends (for the on-call element there is no requirement to be on site and there are no restrictions on what you do during the on-call element).
There could be the opportunity for hybrid working as appropriate.
Hours
- Non on-call week - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17:00
- On-call week – 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:00 (see ‘on-call arrangements’ document for clarification)
